Hello Hello! And a happy Sunday to you where ever you are…

I’ve developed a bit of a love for polka dots in recent days. Yeah yeah I know I’m several months late to the party- as usual! I think we’ve all seen a bit of a polka dot print everywhere this summer. But its fine I’m confident I can make it work into Autumn. PLUS… These cami tops were like £6 in the Topshop sale! Who could say no? Not me that’s for sure. That’s why I bought one in each colour (oh dear- I’m turning into my mother..).

Anyways I also decided to dig out these super old trousers from somewhere in the back of my wardrobe. They go pretty well with a strappy top and used to be a firm favourite of mine many years back. As did MAC Heroine- who didn’t love purple lipstick for a while? Talking of which I should really buy a new one cos this has gotta be way past its sell by….

The Last Days of Summer

It’s sort of ironic that I decided to (cleverly) name this post The Last Days of Summer when we quite obviously took these outfit photos at night. But I did have to take this opportunity to express my disdain that Summer is slowly slipping away from us- sob!

I was pretty surprised that I had never done a post featuring this lovely little summer dress before as it’s one of those pieces I do actually wear often. Although I’ve got to admit this is the first time I’ve worn it with these knee high booties. But hey were getting towards that  trans seasonal dressing time of year so its all about mixing it up a bit. I do love a good summer dress and this is one of those colours that is really flattering on everyone even me with my super pale skin! I’m also liking clashing the delicate girly print with this sporty Topshop bomber.  I have been wearing it to death this Summer and  hope to continue well into the Autumn. Probably until it all gets far too cold and wet…

The bolo tie choker is one of my current obsessions.  ASOS has a great selection of black chokers right now and they’re a really inexpensive way to add a bit of interest to your outfit. I’m still loving my Irresistible Me hair extensions and the big super bouncy hair they give me. It’s really surprising how much more confident  I feel with long locks!

Princess Hair

hair3hair5 hair4hair8Human Hair Extensions– c/o Irresistible Me

Disclaimer: Trying this product out made me really miss my long hair and sob into my laptop a little as I edited these photos!

Hello Hello… And welcome back to another blog post! Today I have a little review based on hair extensions I was kindly asked to try out by Irresistible Me.  I’ve always been a big hair extension wearer and love nothing more than having long swishy princess hair so am a little biased anyway. I totally get that hair extensions aren’t everyone’s cup of tea though!

The hair extensions are all 100% human hair and come in a variety of colours/ weight / lengths.  This particular set believe it or not are actually the shortest at 14 inches long. As my hair is pretty short these days so I went for a length I could blend into it as it grew. There is a Pin to help you get an idea for the right length for you. With regards to weight of course I went for the thickest set at 200g which comes with 1 x 4 clips, 2 x 3 clips, 5 x 2 clips and 2 x 1 clip. The set also came with a few extra clips to attach in case you lose them (always happens!).  The colour I’m wearing is medium brown, although I was undecided between medium and chocolate brown. There’s this handy Video to help you choose your colour.

For me the quality of these extensions was great and they can offer you some seriously big hair. Especially using the 4 clip piece which is a mega hair extension, although I reckon it could get a bit heavy after a full night of wearing it. The only problem I have which goes for all clip in extensions is that I find it really difficult to get a good colour match for my natural hair. As I have quite a red toned brunette I can never seem to get a warm enough shade. I will of course be wearing these again!

Everyday is a Dungaree Day

I know my outfit posts are pretty few and far between these days but I’ve felt myself turning into one of those people who wants to dress comfortably above all else. And I never thought I would be one of those people. Basically I’ve been living in dungarees and trainers. I’m finding that I’ve developed quite a collection and now want to focus my attentions on dungaree dresses. Because after all they give me enough space to eat what ever I want. Yes I am that person who dresses around their food consumption. Times have gotten truly desperate.

On the other hand I feel like I’ve sufficiently avoided the whole ‘I’ve let myself go’ look with this little blouse.  Its got  such a pretty little collar detail and I just don’t wear it enough. I’d also like to pay homage to my new glasses which actually help me see so much better and generally stop me looking a bit too squinty most of the time. I reckon I fit the part of super smart scientist very well while wearing them.
