Happy Saturday! Welcome to another windy winter blog post. I’ve been out and about in my new pinstripe trousers this afternoon. I reckon I haven’t worn pinstripe anything since I was in secondary school. It’s funny how trends return several years later and were all like OMG I forgot how much I love those trousers!! Well that’s how I feel about these anyway. The extra bonus is that these are super high waisted as oppose to the low slung ones that just showed the tops of our underwear in the noughties (cringe) …..  Topshop also do these in black if you want to satisfy your inner goth- I was tempted.

I’m also a little bit in love with this blouse I picked up a while ago. Well it is covered in little lollipop hearts so who can blame me? I wore it on Christmas day with a gold skirt but its super cute for work as well.

Do you ever begin a blog post and just think actually I don’t even know what I wanna write? Well that’s how I’m feeling today so for now photos will have to suffice. Hopefully  my blogging mojo will return soon. Alternatively I’ll become one of those silent bloggers, just kidding I’m not really cool enough for that.

Colour Blocking

Coat, Skirt & Jumper- All Topshop, Boot- Stone Fox HERE, Roll neck- Primark.

Its been a stormy stormy few weeks up here in Scotland, you may have heard. You might be wondering how (on Earth) I’ve still managed to get outfit snaps. I’m going to be honest and say with GREAT difficulty.  I have a very patient boyfriend- I’m sorry for everything I’ve done if you’re reading this James! So after battling with the elements and these boots once again- I seriously can’t walk in them, I must have weak ankles or something (lol). Here we are in a car park.

I think everything I’m wearing has gone into the Topshop sale now. So my coat/ jumper/ skirt are all a little last season. But I have been wanting this skirt for ages so when it got returned at work in my size AND went into the sale it was kinda a sign. It works really well with a shirt, however in order to inject a little brightness into my life I’m going all colour blocked. Maybe that way it will start to feel like spring sometime soon….please.

Five Favourite Bloggers of 2015

I’m starting 2016 off with a little blogger love.  I’ve followed some of these blogs for a long time (wayyy before I even thought of starting my own!) and some only for the last year or so. For 2015, they’re some of my favourites, although it was hard to choose as I have plenty more.

The Little Magpie

Amy from The Little Magpie has a wardrobe of dreams … IMO anyways. She always looks perfectly put together and gives me some great ideas for photo locations in my local area- who’d have known there were stylish bloggers in this town? Her travel posts are stunning so be prepared for a major case of wanderlust when reading her blog!

Hannah Louise Fashion

Hannah has that talent (that most of us don’t- sob!) of always looking super cool in all outfit posts. I love her awesome shots of inner city London and make up looks which are perfect for pale girls. Plus I’m not gonna lie I’ve got serious hair envy…

The Lovecats Inc4565fbdcc041b57c1ff80ffdcdad6597

I mostly go to The Lovecats Inc for make up and beauty posts. Helen has such a gorgeous make up collection and really seems to know her stuff. There’s also some great advice posts in the past year too offering some really helpful tips for bloggers. She’s a successful blogger from my hometown too which is pretty cool!

Charissa RaeDUNG4-2

Charissa is another one of my favourite North Eastern bloggers.  One of my go to blogs for lifestyle posts and reviews of bars/ restaurants in my hometown- who doesn’t love a good food based blog post? Plus she’s super stylish too!

What Olivia Did…612bd15024a88f319b957c45feed16aa

I love Olivia’s city guides; she has some great ideas of things to do especially in London. Her photography is always on point and she has super cute outfit posts too.  I also really rate her Youtube channel!

Let me know some of your favourites as I’d love to check out some new blogs for the the new year.
