Hi Everybody! How are we enjoying our Sunday? I’m feeling a bit confused as to what day it is because our Christmas night shifts having begun.  Meaning a) I don’t have to converse with customers yay (sorry not sorry!) and b) daylight has me all disorientated…. I think it works out that I get to see more hours of daylight right now though.

So on to the clothes because that’s what were all here for really.  I got this coat last year in Topshop but if I find a one I like I get this habit of wearing it for a few years in a row and then stashing it in my unnaturally big coat collection. They do however have a kind of cropped version in this year. I’m also considering cropping these jeans a few more inches to show off my shoes better and give me the option of wearing flats with them. I think cropped flares work better on shorties like me but let me know your opinions… To chop or not?

The little blue dress

Dress- Miss Selfridge (old), Roll neck- Primark, Boots- New Look

From time to time I try to restrain my shopping problem and recycle formerly loved pieces of clothing. For example right now I’m (very patiently) waiting on payday and so I dug this little number out of my wardrobe. It’s a favourite of mine that dates way back and I’ve usually worn it as a more formal piece. But throw a roll neck underneath and my dress has a whole new life to it! I also wore these snakeskin booties as I knew I’d be hanging out in Aberdeen’s answer to the wild west- cacti included.

How good are James’ photos this week? I’m pretty proud of his work!

Festive copper toned make up look

It’s kind of been a long long time since I put a make up post on my blog. I think it’s my fear of uploading hugely zoomed in photos of my face to the internet that holds me back. Because let’s face it, unless you’re really good with Photoshop these photos ain’t gonna be flattering. No matter how good the lighting is. Trust me.

Anyway I’ve braved the camera and went for what else but a smokey coppery eye and some deep red lipstick. It is getting to the festive season after all! AND just FYI it’s been snowing today. So I’ve decided to mix things up and go for a different base to my usual old products. I’ve used Urban Decay Primer and Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation which is a bit heavier than what I’m used to but works well on camera. On my eyes, I’ve taken Urban Decay Naked 2 and applied Half Baked all over my lid. I’ve used Chopper in the crease and underneath and Snakebite to add a bit more contrast. Naked 2 is my favourite of all the Naked palettes for my colouring. On my lips I’m wearing my (very) well loved MAC Viva Glam I and a little Topshop Velvet Lips in Velveteen  Ribbon as it gives a super matte finish. I do think a glossy lip would work really well with this look too if that’s your thing.

Let me know what your favourite look of the moment is!

Double leopard

Coat – Topshop (old), Tunic- Dorothy Perkins, Boots & Earrings- Miss Selfridge, Watch- Casio

I’ve been enjoying matchy matchy dressing lately… double denim, matching colours, print on print. Leopard print on leopard print may sound a little tacky but I kinda think it works! I bought this tunic as part of my uniform, it’s a little short to wear to work over tights, however I find that outside of work that’s a-ok. And it makes my legs look super long, which they’re not in reality…

Overcoat, Crochet jumper and Cigarette Trousers- All Topshop, Boots- Office, Belt- Zara, Watch- Casio

Hey Everybody! Welcome to my brand new shiny blog. I’ve been working on it for a little while now but I think it’s finally ready to launch. I hope you like it!

Now, I wore this little gothic ensemble to work a few days back minus the big overcoat. But I thought why not hang around outside the library on a freezing cold winter night to photograph it. Just kidding, I’m only outside in the dark because we get like 7 hours of daylight a day right now. Seriously though it was freeeeeezing….

This crotchet top however was only £3 in the Topshop sale AND my watch lights up, as you can see above. Every dark cloud has a silver lining as they say.

I swear I do more than just hang out in wet parks in my spare time. I know it doesn’t seem like it judging by my blog posts but I honestly visit other public sites of interest too…  Yesterday was a hard day guys. The struggle to get these blog photos was REAL. This park in fact was the only place we could find slight cover from the rain- Scottish life eh?
But I’m sure you’d rather hear about the pinafore. Denim. Zips all the way down. Very retro. It also looks cute with a pussy bow blouse FYI. My Casio watch is another newbie- I’d been thinking about getting it for a long time now. James got me it as part of my birthday present. It’s the perfect everyday watch which is just what I like.

It’s Bonfire Night tomorrow which only means one thing: 24 hours until all we hear about is Christmas… For now (at least) we get to enjoy one last bit of Autumn and some fireworks- Yay! In my ideal world this little ensemble is just what I’d wear to head down to the beach for the big display. In the REAL world I’m skint and on a spending ban but I did manage to pick up an amazing bargain fluffy hat for £1. So that might make an appearance…

What are your Bonfire plans?

// Roll neck- Primark / Skirt & Jacket- Topshop / Boots- New Look / Earrings & Belt- Miss Selfridge / Nails- Elegant Touch @ Boots /
Sorry for the distinct lack of good photos for this post. I had an audience while we were trying to take them! The teenage boys who were watching me seemed to find the whole thing really entertaining which was pretty er awkward… We’ve done alright despite that I reckon, although you can probably tell I was just trying to keep my head down and avoid eye contact!
I’ve been styling this Topshop skirt for the colder weather with what else but a roll neck- I feel like that’s all I wear these days. Teamed with a wide waist belt (because the 80s is back AGAIN) and my oversize boyfriend jacket. In other news- how cool are these Elegant Touch nails? I went for Supernova but they come in so many different designs. And they lasted really well- bonus.
