OOTD // River Island lace shoes

// Leather Jacket- Topshop/ Sleeveless Duster Coat- Boohoo/ Dress- Forever 21/ Shoes- River Island/ Hand chain- H&M //

I picked up this pair of flats from River Island when I was home for the weekend. I was actually eyeing up some similar ones in Topshop for a good while but these just looked super comfy. I’ve been wearing them for work so I can now confirm that fact. Otherwise I’ve been trying (but sort of failing) to not look too gothic- I think my main problem is my lipstick? But then maybe it’s my jacket…
PS How cute is the little box of flowers we found outside of someones door? Yes we got these photos outside of someones house… in a none creepy way obviously…

OOTD // H&M Stripe Bardot

//Bardot top & Necklace – H&M/Jeans- Topshop/ Duster Jacket & Hat- Primark//

I recently bought this little bardot top on one of my ‘I’m not buying any clothes’ shopping trips. In my defence it was only £7 which doesn’t really damage my holiday fund too much! I think I’ll wear it a lot too, there’s something about the off the shoulder thing that I find really flattering.
I’ve also learned a new Photoshop technique which is why I look a little super-imposed onto my photos… Bare with me though I will perfect it, honest!

OOTD // Stan Smiths and Duster Coat

// Sleeveless Duster Coat- Boohoo/ Dress- Mango/ Trainers- Adidas Stan Smith/ Sunglasses- H&M/ Necklace- H&M//

I feel like I haven’t blogged in a while. Truth is I’ve been away learning lots of things for my new job and more importantly I suffered from a pretty bad at home hair dying accident! Which lead to a down right refusal to be photographed. Ok, so it wasn’t THAT bad but my hair went super black instead of chocolate brown (never use XXL dyes!) and I basically felt like a massive goth.
Fortunately I got my hands on some Colour B4 hair stripper which is a life saver- I honestly can’t rate this stuff enough. Anyway I’ve managed to search out some new spots for outfit photos- like this park, who new Aberdeen could be so pretty? Not me that’s for sure…

Also I’m on the hunt for a new blogging camera- something portable. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

BEAUTY // A little skincare haul

// Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish/ Liz Earle Muslin Cloths/ Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser/ Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment- All John //

So recently I decided to have a little skincare overhaul. We all need some change in our lives at times. I did this for a few very important reasons.. 1. I didn’t think my old routine was working out for me anymore 2. I wanted to introduce an eye cream- seeing as I’m getting old and all that y’know and 3. I’m absolutely committed (ok maybe a little obsessed) to sorting out my dry skin issues and not age prematurely.

Anyway after much research- because that’s the smart way to do things don’t you know! I decided to give Liz Earle a proper go. And the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment which was mostly because everyone raved about it…

I’ve been in my new routine for about 10 days now and I can express my love for the Kiehl’s eye cream. It details Avocado Oil as one of it’s main ingredients. I’d never previously considered using avocado on my face but turns out it works pretty well! The pot is pretty tiny but to be honest I’ve been applying it pretty liberally and have hardly used any of it yet, which is really good for the price.

The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is definitely gentler on my skin. I was previously using Clinque 3 step which can be quite harsh. However it is supposed to remove all make up (including mascara) and it just doesn’t budge my industrial strength mascara and eyeliner. I have to use make up remover first. I can’t say I’ve noticed an improvement in the dryness of my skin but I have been told to give skincare products at least 3 months to work their magic. I’ll keep you posted!

What are your skincare favourites? Recommendations?

OOTD // Summertime dressing

// Dress- Mango (old) / Trainers- Adidas / Backpack- Zara (similar) / Necklace- Boohoo (similar) / Sunglasses- H&M //
It was so lovely to get to spend an evening in the park earlier this week! Yeah the rain in Scotland managed to stop for a whole two days and obviously you gotta make the most of that…
I’ve had this dress since last summer but it just feels so cool and comfy for warm days. My Zara backpack has actually been a favourite of mine for a few months now. Apparently I look like I’m off to school when I’m wearing it- the problems of resembling a 12 year old! I kinda like the geeky thing though. I’ve read that it’s going to be big for Autumn/ Winter. Amazing.
