fuck forever

// Jumper- Asos (now on sale)/ Skirt- Topshop/ Boots- Primark/Choker- Ebay//

I bought this skirt mostly by default. It’s part of my NYE outfit but I originally bought a gold dress with a very low front I had in my wishlist a few posts back. As it transpired, I don’t have the boobs to fill it and it looked ridiculous. I found this skirt in and told myself I could only buy it if I was going to wear it again. That’s when I had an epiphany and decided I could wear it with my favourite tramp jumper. Anyway it looks really vintage and I love that, I feel kind of glam rock.  If you’re wondering about the title of my post I’m listening to the Babyshambles as a backing track I’m not just REALLY angry and sweary.
What are you up to for New Years? Let me know!
Much Love and all the best for 2015 xxx

ny yankees

// Coat- Topshop (similar)/ Jumper- Primark/ Joggers- Zara/ Trainers- New Balance/ Hat & Earrings- Urban Outfitters//

I’m really not sure why I look so much like a vampire in these photos, I’ve tried to Photoshop them but am still coming out horribly pale! Anyway this is the final outfit set from when I was in Newcastle last weekend- yes it does take me that long to upload.
I went out for breakfast with my friend Rachel and we ended up popping into Urban Outfitters- its probably my favourite high street store so whenever I’m not in Aberdeen I always make a visit. I picked up a few bits and bobs including this hat from the sale (it was raining- that’s my excuse) which is so soft and I really love it.
I’m also wearing my new New Balance trainers which are so incredibly comfortable. Can’t. Even. Describe.
Hows your sale shopping going? I spent a disgusting amount of money in the space of a few hours earlier so watch this space.

festive nails

Merry Christmas! I just wanted to do a little post on my festive nails. I’ve used this Nails Inc. gift set that I was given for Secret Santa last year… A really suited present  I must say!  As you can see it has been used throughout the year and does look a little battered but is still brilliant for Christmas and New Year. Basically you use the black varnish to coat your nails and then roll them in the glitter of your choice. After brushing away the excess (I only do this lightly as I like my nails THICK with glitter) you apply the topcoat. It dries really quickly which is excellent for me but can chip easily- not so good as I am very clumsy. I do love Nails Inc. products so am a little bias but I am so excited by my glitter nails.
I hope you’re all having an amazing Christmas! Much Love xxx

flannel lovin’

//Flannel shirt- ASOS Man (old)/ T shirt- Only @ ASOS/ OTK Boots- Stone Fox/ Hat- Old//

Hey Everyone! It’s nearly Christmas!! I hope you’re all as excited as I am!!!
As I’ve probably already mentioned I went home for the weekend and was given my presents from my family. My Mam also made Christmas dinner for us which was so lovely of her to go to that effort twice (I hope you’re reading this Mam!). My brothers got me these perfect OTK boots and as there’s a lovely stretch of wall around the side of our house (fellow bloggers will know how much of  a treat this is) I got a few outfit photos. Honestly I wasn’t 100% sure about these boots when they arrived as I was sort of thinking well what’s to keep them up on my skinny little legs? But I did test drive them around the house for a day and they stay up fine. They also make me look as tall as a normal person AND like I’m in some sort of 60s cross 90s time warp eg. the best kind of time warp.
Also I have a confession to make I borrowed this shirt from my brother and brought it back to Scotland…. sorry….
Merry Christmas! Much Love xxx

christmas wishes

This may be a little late so it’s more likely a post Christmas ‘what I want in the sales’ wishlist. Several of my picks are geared towards New Years Eve eg. lots of metallics.
I’ve been a little bored by Micheal Kors watches lately but as I was looking for a  boyfriend style one I came across this perfect silver number! Also I was really disappointed when this lipgloss wasn’t voted to go on sale at Illumasqua- not that I have any spare cash anyway but it’s nice to dream. A few of these items have already been reduced pre-Christmas, I’ve featured the backpack in a previous wishlist unfortunately it’s still way out of my price range! The glitter shoes are already down to £35 and would be perfect for parties over the next few weeks.
What are your Christmas wishes?
Much Love xXx

burgundy tones

//Coat- Topshop (similar)/ Top- F&F/ Jeans- Zara/ Scarf- Missguided (similar)/ Hat and Boots- Primark//

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ve probably seen these clothes in a number of combinations a million times. They’re some of my favourites so I wear them constantly.
I wore this outfit today as it’s very chilly in Newcastle. My mam thought I would be cold in my holey jeans and she was right, maybe it’s time to hang them up until the summer. I need to invest in some new (warmer) ones after Christmas. I’m a bit obsessed with burgundy right now but what could be more festive?

glitter christmas make up

I feel like I’ve been so so busy over the past few days that I’ve hardly had time to blog. I arrived home for fake Christmas last night- I don’t get a real one as I work in retail! I will reply to comments and stuff today so don’t please don’t think I’m completely ignorant.
A few days ago I had a little go at some Christmas inspired make up, I was really hoping the copper and gold tones in my eye make up would translate better on camera but it can’t be helped.
I’d just like to draw attention to a few products I’ve used including Smashbox Photo Finish primer. I was given a few testers of this recently and I really can’t see myself going back to using another primer. It gives the smoothest, silkiest skin to start applying foundation I’ve ever experienced. For my lips I have used Topshop Velvet Lips in Velveteen Ribbon and then applied Mac Lipglass in Rebel. I love the deep glossy red these two products combined give. I’ll definitely be wearing this look more often. I also applied a little Urban Decay Moondust in Space Cowboy to give the glittery effect. Moondust is also on my eyes on top of my eyeshadow- the only problem I have with this is that I wish it was more pigmented or build able. Maybe I can use my brush wet?

i’ll be happy making my mistakes

// Jumper- Primark/ T shirt- Republic (old)/ Faux leather trousers- H&M (similar) / Boots- New Look/ Sunglasses- Topshop//

I’m aware that these photos are a bit rubbish. We took them just as my camera was taking it’s last breath(s) so they are kind of rushed. I do however love this khaki jumper- I’ve been searching for one I like for ages and where should I come across one but Primark. I was actually on the hunt for one of their hideously over the top Christmas jumpers but alas they didn’t have the one I wanted so I guess this will have to do. I always really want to wear my leather trousers more often but the fly falls down so I think I need to invest in some that don’t have this issue.
Hope you’re having a lovely evening! Much Love xxx

inspiration- Diesel AW 14

I’ve been meaning to put these together in a post for a while but just haven’t gotten round to it. I actually came across the styled photographs above on Dazed Digital first and was also happy to find some backstage shots from the show. It would have taken place way back but it’s still pretty inspiring. Also how amazing are the french plaits in the girls’ hair?
I love anything (film, photography, fashion) that has a nod to youth culture from a by gone era. Personally I’m nowhere near cool enough to pull off look like this but hey I can take details and make them my own.

best friends

// Jumper- Asos/ Dungarees- River Island (no longer available)/ Boots- Primark/ Earrings- Topshop (similar)//

It’s so horrible and dark and miserable outside today so I thought I’d share this OOTD from earlier this week when the sun was shining and I made a new ginger friend. She came over to chat for a bit and although I couldn’t understand a word she was saying she seems pretty cool.
I am trying to style my dungarees for winter as I don’t want them to just be a comfort I can enjoy in the summer. When I went out shopping I just threw my boyfriend overcoat on top of this which I thought worked alright but I did get a few strange looks- I think as bloggers were all used to that though!
Hope you’re having a great week! Much Love xxx
