current mood

I’m feeling very grunge right now- if that makes sense. All smudged eyes and dark lips and messy hair. Maybe it’s a throw back to my student days but nevertheless here’s some of my current inspiration. I pin more of this sort of stuff on my Pinterest
Have a great day! Eleanor xxx

Now I’ll be honest, I had so much trouble taking these photos. Is anybody else finding it incredibly difficult to do outfit posts now that there’s about 5 hours of daylight? (OK there’s slightly more than 5 but I do have to go to work!) I have owned this Metallica vest for years and years but I just cannot part with it. I don’t know that I ever will! I am loving flares right now too but I think maybe with these shoes they make me look super tiny, I’ll stick to higher heels next time!
Have a great weekend, much love xxx

Hey Lovelies! So yesterday night was Bonfire night and as Autumn is my favourite time of year I do love to celebrate. We went to the local fireworks display and I must say I was impressed- the fireworks went off to music and everything. Now that it’s over I feel like it’s time to prepare for Christmas and am REALLY getting into the festive spirit!
This was my Bonfire Night attire, only I was all zipped up as it was incredibly cold. My wet look leggings are from Topshop a few years back but are still a staple piece in my wardrobe. I recently picked up these little booties for £15 from Primark; they add a few extra inches to my height which is always a good thing when you’re petite. I am not exactly sure who I stole this beanie from but I know I didn’t buy it. It’s so so warm and I sort of feel like a bank robber when I wear it, therefore I don’t even care that it’s probably designed for outdoor pursuits.
Have a lovely evening!

MAC Sized to Go Lipglass

Hey Guys! I thought I’d do a little post on MAC’s Sized to Go Lipglass. Mostly because I am really NOT a lipgloss girl but decided to give it a little go as they were doing mini (sample?) sizes in my local store. I was spending a very well chosen birthday gift card. I also bought a Matte Lipstick in Heroine which is a really gorgeous purple- I remember going to buy it ages ago but it was sold out!
Anyway as I was clearly in a purple mood I bought this little Lipglass in shade Rebel. I didn’t expect a gloss to be so pigmented; I’m actually wearing it without any base colour in the photo above. I think that I personally would wear it over a lipstick in future as I do really like a stand out lip. I didn’t actually go out in this look so I can’t be sure how long it would stay on for in reality. However I will say that I did have trouble removing it so that’s a good sign. I do really love the glassy finish it gives. I guess it’s much easier to apply than a lipstick when on the move.
I’m still not convinced I’m a lipgloss person and it does bring back distant memories of my hair getting stuck to my lips in the windy playground as a teenager. I have learnt that I will be giving more mini sized products a go though-because why not? And the colour is gorgeous!
Also can I just express my undying love for my new Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eyeliner brush? I’ve used it on my liner above and have never come across anything so precise- I’m completely smitten.
Please let me know any recent product recommendations as usual! Much Love xxx

// Coat-Topshop/ Jumper- Asos/ Jeans- Zara/ Trainers- Nike//

Hey Lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. It’s my favourite holiday and I’m pretty sad its over. But I am looking forward to Bonfire Night which is also pretty awesome.
Now (sometimes) on special occasions I visit the great British countryside. On this particular day we went to visit Chris’s mam, who lives in a little village in Northumberland. I think I must have looked pretty crazy to the neighbours who were laughing at us taking these photos. We also found this strange sign which seems to suggest dangerous children… I don’t know..
Anyway I do love a mannish overcoat with some running trainers; it adds an air of unattractiveness to my outfit. And yes I know I need to stop wearing these jeans as they’re close to death but they’re just so darn comfy! This week I learnt that you’re recommended to wash your jeans every three months- maybe that’s where I’m going wrong.
Have a lovely weekend! Eleanor xxx
