scary death make up

Hey Lovelies! Just a little pre-Halloween horror. Chris let me do this to his face, surprisingly willingly. Although everything went horribly down hill when he discovered how hard it is to remove gel liner from his stubble….
I used a variety of eyeliner for this look as the face paints I bought just don’t cut it. I drew the design using my Bourjois felt tip liner and then filled it in with Loreal gel liner. The shaded bits were done using a kohl pencil blended with a flat eyeshadow brush. The only face paint I’ve used was the Grimas white face paint I bought, which has been used to highlight. Although I think if you were pale enough anyway or wearing a very white base that might not be necessary. I also had to deliberately avoid his eyes as he was getting fidgety.
I hope you’re as excited as me for Halloween!

birthday lunch

Hey Guys! I’ve been a bit rubbish at blogging these past few days. It was my birthday on Friday so I had a busy weekend and then my laptop broke so I’m writing this from Chris’s computer right now. My laptop will be back in a few days and I’ll reply to comments and stuff then as it’s kind of hard to get through everything from someone else’s computer. I always take a look at any blog links you leave me so please feel free to keep doing that!
Anyway back to the stuff at hand!
I became very old on Friday and so my Mam took us all out for lunch at a gorgeous little place in Newcastle called the Herb Garden. It’s built underneath the railway and you can hear the trains going overhead which is cool. They also grow their own herbs in little pods as you can see above. I love the huge quantity of lanterns hanging from the ceiling. The food is really good; we ordered quite a selection. I would highly recommend it if you’re in the North East area at any point- it’s good for dinner too!
I’ve also uploaded some (really huge) photos of my Birthday outfit which is a winter variation of a look I wore this Summer. You can take a peek HERE. I like both looks- it’s nice when an outfit is versatile like that.

//Blazer- River Island/ Polo neck- Mango/ Trousers- Topshop/ Boots- New Look//

Hi Guys! I wore this yesterday to go for lunch with my Mam and Auntie. I got a lovely vegetarian option with spinach and feta and all that jazz. I think sometimes even if you’re a meat eater it’s a good idea to go veggie. I guess we shouldn’t go for meat every single day!
Anyway, I bought this blazer/ jacket over the summer and it’s been a really great cover up for the cooler days. I’m a fan of the oversize silhouette and think the check adds interest to an otherwise plain outfit. It’s one of those things I was unsure about but am really glad I bought. I realise the rest of my outfit is a bit boring but you can’t put the effort in every single day, right?
Have a great day! Eleanor xxx

sugar skulls

I’ve been messing around with the face paints I bought yesterday and have had a go at a half sugar skull look. The creme white I bought for the base (Grimas) has come out ok. Unfortunately the Halloween Horror palette I had planned to draw the details with was such bad quality and just slid off my face. Instead I’ve used a mixture of MAC and Bourjois eyeshadows and pencil liner to create the skull design. I’m going to try something a bit more precise when my new Bobbi Brown liner brush arrives this week. Hope you’re having a fun evening too.

never let your fear decide your fate

// Jacket- New Look (similar)/ Cami- Topshop/ Jeans- River Island/ Boots- Dr Martens/ Bag- Asos/ Scarf- Urban Outfitters (old)/ Choker- eBay//

Hey Lovelies! I found this old denim jacket in a bag at my mother’s house. I had actually planned to give it to charity but when I found it I was so pleased I forgot to. It’s three sizes too big for me so you can imagine how small it was designed to be- I don’t think it would have even buttoned up in my size. As it’s very much Autumn now I’m trying to wear my DMs more often. I feel quite grungey (and cool) for once in this outfit. I’m also really pleased that these photos are semi- ok as it was so incredibly blowy yesterday!
Anyway, hope you’re having a lovely day, let me know any thoughts?

// Coat- Topshop (old)/ Shirt- New Look/ Jeans- F&F/ Brogues- John Lewis/ Hat- Boohoo//

Hey Lovelies! Yesterday I went for a walk in Jesmond Dene, it was the perfect opportunity for a little Autumnal themed outfit post. I’m so happy with how bright these photos have turned out. Unfortunately as Chris is away my little brother has been doing my photos and well he hates it… Maybe you can tell??
I bought these brogues for work but I wanted to do something completely different with them for a casual option. They completely clash with my boyfriend jeans/ oversized coat which I think is really cool. I do look like I’ve just thrown this outfit together which I’m not sure about! The thing I like about blogging is you get the chance to really experiment with what you’re wearing and can look back to see what does or doesn’t work.
I hope you’re having a lovely day. Much Love xxx

Halloween goth make up

Hey Guys! I’m in a really Autumny Halloweeny mood today so I’ve gone for the first of a few Halloween make up looks! I’ve gone for a generic purple goth look, it could work with a witch/cat/pixie costume or whatever you wish really. I haven’t used any blush or bronzer at all with this look. The only contour product I’ve gone for is a really white concealer across my cheek and brow bones to give that really dead look. My eyes were done using my MAC A passionate quest quad palette. I absolutely love this palette, the shades are just perfect for Autumn too. I’ve also used a bit of this on top of my lipstick to brighten it up a little. I’ve got Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 04 on my lips which is blended into black eyeliner in the corners. I didn’t own a black lip liner- surprisingly! My lashes are Eyelure 156s but they were a really really old pair so I’ve thrown them out now. They’re a really good set for an alternate look though! I’m going to try and get into town tomorrow and purchase some face paints and special effects stuff to do something a little more gory- woohoo! I’ve had my hair done today, gone a little ombre. Let me know what you think!

Inspiration Alexander Wang Spring/ Summer 2015

//Images from Dazed and Confused and Style//

Hello Lovelies! Right I know that I’m a little late posting this and all that stuff but I am massively in love with Alexander Wang’s S/S 15 collection. I mean who doesn’t want the perfect ratio of sports inspired pieces and ultra modern tailoring? It’s right up my street. I’d just like to take a moment to appreciate his menswear collection too-   I can’t get over how much I love their boots. If you’re wondering why I always have menswear in my inspirational posts I will tell you…. 1. I work with menswear so I’m ‘supposed’ to think: “oh what would I wear if I was a man…” 2. I feel that it gives you a better understanding of fashion to take a look at what’s going on for both sexes and 3. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I sort of like dressing like a boy.

Anyway I’m off to Newcastle tomorrow for a whole week Woohoo!

Have a great evening/ day…Much love xxx

blue jeans

// Top- F&F/ Dungarees- River Island (old) / Shoes- Primark//

Hey Guys! It’s Friday! I’m off home on Sunday morning for a whole week and am feeling very very pleased about that.
I wore this outfit a few days back, inspired by some street style I saw in Vogue- possibly? I’m always looking out for inspiration and it was pretty cool that this all came together. I bought this top from F&F at Tesco for a stupidly low price but it’s one of those items that is just incredibly versatile. I never usually shop at supermarkets for clothing so this was a pleasant surprise! I do have trouble styling my dungarees/ overalls for Autumn but I think I’ve done alright, keeping it simple.
Hope you guys are looking forward to the weekend too! Eleanor xxx

//Jacket- Primark/ T shirt- Republic (old) / Skirt- New Look (old)/ Shoes- Primark/ Necklace- H&M/ Hat- Boohoo//

Hello Everybody! I was going to upload a different outfit of the day (from yesterday) but I wore this today and really liked it so why not?? I came across this bomber jacket in Primark when I tried but (majorly) failed to go work clothes shopping. It was just sitting on a rail of new stock ready to go out and I was just like yes minnnnne. I think it cost about £15 and it was a case of love at first sight if I’m quite honest. The girl at the till was also in love with it so I feel that I made the right decision. I’ve been unsure how to style it for a while so not to look too transgender chavvy but when I got dressed today Chris was very happy. You always know when you’re onto a winner if a boy compliments your outfit as it means you actually look like a female (this doesn’t often happen  to me). I’m also obsessed with my necklace which I picked up last minute in H&M, it dresses any outfit up without looking too glam.
I’ll probably do a blog post on my ombre lips too, along with some Halloween make up ideas. I’m massively looking forward to this. BEST. HOLIDAY. EVER.
Have a great day! Eleanor xxx
